Dr Ward is a tutor with Aberdeen University and students are therefore periodically attached to the Practice.
We are a small rural practice with 2 part time GPs.
The practice is based in a purpose built Health Centre shared with the Community Nursing Team and Scottish Ambulance Service Paramedics.
Our students have the use of their own room with internet access.
The village has a small population of around 1800.
The traditional industry is fishing but tourism is of increasing importance.
Accommodation for Students is usually self-catering in the village or out at West Loch Shores.
Transport links: the Glasgow bus runs three times a day check www.citylink.co.uk for times and book in advance for cheaper fares.
There are ferry links close by to Arran , Islay (and on to Jura) , Gigha and the Cowal peninsula.
Mobile phone coverage is generally good but can be poor for some networks.
